CableCam: Camera Slider

The CableCam is a personal project consisting in making a system able to move, orient and stabilize a Camera along a cable. The aim is to grab landscapes videos, such as time lapses, or from above a crowd without any risk for people. For that, the system communicates with an Android smartphone which acts as a controller. The technical challenge is to implements a BLDC Sensorless sensor, coupled with a magnetic angular encoder to emulate a Sensored motor. Moreover, a bidirectional communication was designed between the Android Controller and the system, allowing to control it, but also receive a real-time video signal and tracking information.
